Of course I'd be scared. [He can say that with absolute certainty because it's happened to him.] I'm scared any time I'm doing a Spiria Link. I never what awaits me or what I'm going to have to do or if I'm even going to make it out of there. [Despite his talks of fear, though, he speaks with absolute calmness.]

...But the way I see it, if I'm there, I'm there for a reason, even if I didn't choose to be there. If there's something I can do with my power, no matter how small it might be, then I'll do it.

[It's a viewpoint he'd genuinely hope that Merisia could take regarding her own gift, that she can change the world with the Echo, even if it's just in a small way. But that's not something he can make her see.]
