[A thoughtful pause.]

...how do you think you would've reacted? [Because the way she acted when they first met here sure makes him think she wouldn't have taken it well.]

I had more reason to believe that you were not going to hurt me than someone I've never met. Apparently many here got to know a Creed more like the man who I grew up with than the one who just tried to kill you.

I think Creed was... trying to repent for what he did by helping me here. In the end, we didn't accomplish much but... I'm glad I got to know more about him than the fairy tales let on.

Sorry for not telling you. It just... never seemed like a good time to bring it up, you know?

It is also somewhat my fault. Once I found out just how little time he and I have left, I started to suspect in your time he and I no longer exist and that's why you act so protective of me.

It's not your fault! [Like hell he's gonna let you take any blame after that.] I should've been honest with you about it instead of trying to keep it a secret from you! It's just... you were so scared of him--scared of me because of him, even, and it took so much just to get you to trust me, I... Mmmmrgh... I didn't wanna risk losing that trust.

[Lithia always takes the blame for things that could even remotely be her fault.] I'm the one who made assumptions about you and said nothing once I found out. I kept anything that could hurt you to myself and pretended nothing was wrong and that is my fault.

[Kor knows how Lithia is. How prone she is to shouldering everything. And he knows they'll argue in circles if they keep up this line of discussion.]

Can we just agree that we're both at fault here then? [Because really he kind of wants to go back to sleep.]

[Nope, so not agreeing to that, but she'll change the subject instead.]

You mentioned that you found my amulet? Do you have it then? [Since she's doubting Kor would just leave it, he'd want to keep it safe for her in case she came back.]

Yeah. I put it in that drawer there. [The one in the nightstand. You know, for safekeeping.]

[Now Lithia is wondering if that might explain why the bed.]

I'll get it then and you can go back to sleep.

[Hopefully there's nothing too embarrassing in there. Lithia gets up out of bed, though she definitely is looking like she's still a bit groggy with how wobbly she is on her feet. Still, she can find the nightstand and drawer okay.]

Hey, umm... Lithia... [He blearily watches her try to find the amulet.]

Instead of going back to your place, why don't you just stay here? I mean, with me instead of on your own? I've got tons of space here, at least. [More than one guy who's pretty minimalistic in how he lives could ever need, at least.]

[That just sounds so utterly wrong after her waking up in Kor's bed and all. She's aware now of how much of a deviant Kor can be, after all.]

Do I have your promise I won't end up in your bed again? I definitely don't want to find out how much Kohaku's feet hurt if she happens to arrive here and finds out. [And then there's Hisui's overprotective nature to deal with too. That and she's partially kidding. Of course she'd need to get her things first.]

[Kor, of course, takes her completely seriously and is caught off guard by what she says. Everyone makes him sound like he's such a deviant, but he's not that bad...!]

I-I swear! Cross my Spiria and hope to die, even!

[A harmless enough deviant, but so easy to tease. The reaction causes a giggle from Lithia, which shows she's teasing and definitely shows that even though in her time it's only the second time Kor and Lithia met, she still knows him far better now.]

That's good. You know how protective Kunzite and Hisui can be, after all. Still, I will have to at least return for long enough to get my things.

[There's a weary sigh from Kor's end. His friends are always so mean, so relentlessly teasing him. But that's soon replaced by a hearty chuckle, because the fact that Lithia is teasing him shows she places far more genuine trust in him than before.]

Okay. I'll help you, then! [Part of him would rather go back to sleep but he'd never be able to sleep soundly if he left her needing the help and didn't provide it.]

[Kor is just too easy to tease, and so are the rest of them.]

I'll need to pack as well. How about you come over to my place tomorrow afternoon? Then both of us can get some rest and I can have some time to pack what little I have. [Assuming of course that nothing happened to her place while she was gone.]

Phew, that's a relief. [There's a heavy yawn coming from him as if on cue. and then he flops right back onto the bed.]

G'night then, Lithia! See you tomorrow... [Just hope that he doesn't sleep until tomorrow after all this excitement.]
