[Special delivery for Shing—Kor! It's a hefty box—a wooden crate to be exact. Once Kor pries it open, he'll find a new arm guard resting inside. It's made from Shaarnath, so he can be guaranteed that the materials and make are only of the finest quality. In addition, it will actually help Kor channel his dunamis, particularly anything defensive based. So any dunamis skills based for defense will strengthen the arm guard to provide more protection.

All of this is explained with the attached slip from the smith, but there's another note attached to it written by a different hand:]

This is actually doubling as thanks for helping back there with that whole spiria and malevolence thing. Plus yours looked pretty RATTY so figured you could use an upgrade :P

BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE! Along with the arm guard is a more cheerfully holiday wrapped parcel with a note, "your real christmas gift" on it. Inside is a wool hat in with a rather unique sun style.

[Kor is stunned when he opens the crate and finds the gift inside for him. It really was an impressive-looking arm guard, lightweight and compact, but still very durable. Definitely the sort of craftmanship that the finest of Shaarnath were known for--not to mention the priciest.

Nah, it's fine. I don't really spend a lot for myself other than weapons and drinks, so I had saved quite a bit from all the jobs and hunts I've taken since I've been here. Besides, I was able to shave off the cost by doing a few things in return.
