[While he felt a little bad about asking Kor for help so soon after the guy offered him a place to stay, he's gotten himself stuck in a silly situation and could really use some advice. Plus Kor being as friendly as he is might mean he's full of ideas to help solve his problem.]

Kor! Hey, I need your help. You're free now, right?

[It's not like he's busy working or doing anything surely!]

[Kor was pleased to hear Caius contacting him on the network. ...Sure, he saw the guy every day at home, but he was pretty new to the place, so him reaching out so readily's a good sign to him!]

Well, I'm just making my rounds right now, but I can chat at least! What's up?

Oh, sorry about that. [Kor doesn't seem to mind though, so he'll continue.] I told someone that I'd get them a birthday present but I can't use the idea I had anymore. What sort of stuff do you get people for their birthdays?

Birthdays? [Man... Of all the things to ask...] Aww, shucks... I was never really good at that. [Something about being raised in a small village and never having his own birthday being celebrated.] What did you originally have in mind?

Wait, really? [There's a huff at that. He was really hoping Kor might have had an idea or two.] I was thinking of flowers, they're the kind of thing I'd have got someone back home.

[Also being from a small village made extravagant gifts kind of difficult. You either found it or made it yourself for the most part.]

But... The guy I was getting them for heard I was thinking about flowers and I said I'd do something better than that.

Really? [Man, flowers sound like such a nice, thoughtful gift, too. He'd take flowers, flowers are nice.] What kinda guy is he?

I don't know a whole lot about him really. He has friends from home he's looking out for, and some guy who's really dangerous from what he's said. [...] He seems pretty cool?

[Really not the sort of person you would look at and think flowers would work. Even though they would have. And then he went and opened his big mouth without thinking.]

[...Man, this is why presents are hard. He tries to think about it in terms of what he'd like, and... honestly, he'd be happy getting anything. he'd be happy getting nothing! He always got nothing, birthdays didn't happen. But that was fine, he just likes having friends, those are the only presents he needs.]

Hmm... If he's looking out for his friends... Maybe you could get him a pet! Like a bird, maybe!

A pet?! [Wouldn't that be expensive.] Do you think I'd be able to go out and just catch a bird to give him?

[He's not turning the idea down, he was looking for advice after all! But he does sound unsure.]

Yeah, a pet! [He sounds pretty enthusiastic about the idea now! Look what you've done, Caius.]

I mean... You could do that, but I'm sure there's a store that sells birds that are less monstrous.

Uh, right... [Monster bird pet. Bit dangerous, but it actually sounds cool! And reminds him about a conversation he had with Red about pokemon and how weird and wonderful they can be.]

I have no gald on me. [Wait.] Sylvs, no sylvs... Unless the place I'm getting a pet from lets me pay them back I don't think I can do this. [Sure he's lived most of his life in his small hometown but even he knows that probably won't fly.]

Oh! I can lend you some money if that's all you're worried about! [It's not like he can use all this money for much else.]

You can?! [That's great! And he totally sounds ready to take Kor up on that offer. But.] You sure about that? I kinda owe you a lot already.

[Thanks for letting me live with you and take your money. Ugh. Helpful as it would be it doesn't sit too well with him.]

Don't worry about it! I can't think of a better thing to do with all this money I have than help out my friends with it!

Well, if you're really sure! Thanks Kor. I'll pay you back for everything, that's a promise. [He doesn't want to be taking advantage of the guy who gave him a place to live. Maybe he'll do a little extra than just paying Kor back to make up for it all.

... Now he's wondering though.] Wait, how much money do you have anyway? ["All this money" he says.]

Uhh.... Several million sylvs? [Said rather nonchalantly. Like it's no big deal that he's sitting on such a large sum of money.]

S-Several million?! [For a moment his message seems to go all fuzzy as he balks at that number.] That's... That's way more than I was expecting! You could buy everything in a store and the place itself with that!

Really? I mean, I could, I guess... But I wouldn't have much use for something like that. [He completely fails to grasp that Caius was not actually being serious there.]
