[Likewise, when Kor saw the details of the job, he immediately leaped on it. Getting paid to eat chocolate and say nice things? He already does that for free!

He was holding onto a particular large hunk of bark, of which he bites into and breaks off a decently sized mouthful to chew on.]

Mmm! You're telling me, I wish all the jobs were this easy, I could do this all day long!

[She laughs obligingly.]

Maybe you can. I mean, nobody said we had to leave right away.

[They're supposed to be paying attention to what this stuff does to them, sure but nobody said they had to go anywhere when they were done. Loophoooole~

Now to try to steer this conversation in the direction she wants it. ...Carefully.]

So what kinda non-chocolate-eating jobs are you used to?

Me? Well, usually I just take on the jobs that involve taking down dangerous monsters, or the ones involving dunamis! Not to brag, but I'd say I'm really good at both of those!

[He says he's not bragging, but he sure sounds like he's bragging, at least a little.]

[It's cool, he can boast all he wants right now. She'll just grin in response.]

Mostly monster hunting jobs for me too. Usually with Ruby or one of our friends; we've all got experience with it from home. Might as well do it here, right?

Ooh, you're friends with Ruby too?! [There's an awkward pause suddenly, as it sets in. Duh, of course he knows that.] Err, heheh. Right, I knew that, since you planned that party of hers and all.

[He hasn't realized she's Ruby's sister yet, though. He's not the smartest guy around.]

[Considering most of the guys she's friends with are not what she'd call braniacs, she's not bothered at all. In fact, she's probably enjoying this just a little too much...]

Right, we're best friends. [A laugh.] Have been ever since the day she was born.

[Definitely enjoying this a liiiittle too much.]

Whoa, best friends since the day she was born? So, like... the moment she popped out you were friends?! [He's not catching the implications there, sorry. But he is marveling at what a strong bond Yang and Ruby must have if they've been best friends for so long.] Wow... That's some seriously best friending....

[Sweet summer child...]

Pretty much. [She pauses for effect as a grin spreads across her face.] But it probably helped that she's also my little sister.

[...To be fair, she did basically pledge to be the best big sister ever the day Ruby was born though, so Kor really wasn't that off-base.]

Ehh?! [Kor's reaction is truly over the top, staggering backwards.] Really?! You're-- Ow! [So over the top he actually falls out of the chair he was sitting in.

He's quick to recover, though, picking himself up the ground and planting himself back in his seat.] ...You're sisters?!

[There he go.

Yang watches all of this with great amusement, humming out a giggle when he finally rights himself.]

Yyyyep. [Another chuckle.] Didn't she tell you she has a sister?

[As if it's Ruby's job to mention to her to her friends. She's devastated, Ruby. Devastated.]

[If Yang didn't know that Kor was easy to rile up and embarrass before, it should be pretty clear to her now, just because of how red his face is over what she's saying.]

W-well, no, but... I'm sure it's just because I never bothered to ask her about that stuff.

[It's really just his fate to be forever hassled by the older siblings. At least this one isn't a psychopath who wants to knock his teeth down his throat.]

Still, you two are sisters? You don't look all that much alike.

[~~Not yet anyway~~ She might have a penchant for mischief but Yang's definitely more the "I mess with you because I like you" sort of older sibling.

She does however merely offer a shrug at that question though, biting off another piece of chocolate bark.]

I took after my dad. Ruby got her looks from her mom. [Which is...technically true.] We don't dress like each other either though. Maybe if we did it'd be more obvious, but I don't think I could convince Ruby to give up her combat skirts for pants.

[She says this with a small chuckle.]

[Kor takes Yang's cue and takes another bite of chocolate himself. Mmm, this was good stuff.]

Well, it's a style that works for her, so she shouldn't give it up, even to look like somebody else! She's got nice legs, after all!

[Sorry, Yang. He's a leg man.]

[Cue a very exaggerated eyebrow raise from Yang.]

I hope her legs aren't the only thing you like about her.

[Protective big sister mode is go! ...Except not really because she's not being very threatening.]

Of course not! [He grins widely, pretty oblivious to how weird the things he's saying sound.] She's nice, and fun to be around too!

[She's grinning just as widely. And now the hook.]

Oh yeah? What else do you like about her?

[And he just gives her a confused look.]

What else is there? I thought the stuff I gave was pretty great already!

[Sorry, Yang. It won't be that easy.]

["What else is there?" Otherwise known as "How to offend women in 5 syllables or less".

Yang makes a noise like she's just been insulted on her sister's behalf, when actually she's just miffed that didn't work. What the heck is this chocolate bark good for?]

"What else is there?" [A pause as she re-thinks her strategy.] I mean, sure that's great that you think she's nice and fun but what makes her nice and fun?

[She crosses her arms in a very huffy protective big sister manner harumph harumph.]

You know Ruby's got a lot of skills and talents too. She's not just sweetness and sunshine.

[Okay so maybe the chocolate bark is affecting her a little as well, but it's not like Yang needs help talking about how amazing her baby sister is.]

[Kor gives Yang a confused look as her huffiness. Is she getting mad at him? Why is she getting mad at him, he didn't do anything!

But that soon changes as Yang talks about Ruby some more.]

You're right! [He beams again, glittering brightly.] She's awesome in a battle with that scythe of hers, and I know she can add a gun to anything! That's pretty cool! What else can she do?

[Your plan might be backfiring a little, Yang. You've triggered his curiosity.]
