But instead, what he finds is truly the stuff of nightmares, an incredibly large centipede snaking its way through the window, having previously hidden itself on the outside of the house.]

[The centipede has its sights locked on Chalcedony. For whatever reason it really seems to want him right now. Does it think he's a moth and thus its prey? As he flies through the air and away from the house, the centipede is chasing after him. But right behind it is Kor, in hot pursuit.]

...Or not, as the direction he moves causes him to catch his foot on and trip over a large rock jutting out of the ground, landing him on the ground facefirst. He recovers, but he has to take the time to get his bearings and push himself back to his feet.

[ Chalcedony promised himself that he would never hesitate to fight for his friends. Right now he's overcome with fear but he doesn't want to keep running away. In an instant he summons Wahrheit and tries to blast away the centipede with a strike of holy lightning. ]
