[ Chalcedony promised himself that he would never hesitate to fight for his friends. Right now he's overcome with fear but he doesn't want to keep running away. In an instant he summons Wahrheit and tries to blast away the centipede with a strike of holy lightning. ]
I cannot shame Paraiba with a display of cowardice.
Phew... [Kor breathes a sigh of relief as the centipede is distracted long enough for Kor to get back on his feet.]

[Back on his feet now, he stares down the centipede. It's momentarily stunned, trying to shake off the effects of Chalcedony's attack. Now is their time to strike.]
[The centipede lets out a horrifying screech and attempts to make a lunge at the airborne Chalcedony, which prompts Kor to make a split decision.]
Chal!
[Kor leaps into the air, and gathered dreamotion energy into his hand, forming a lightning javelin, which he immediately throws at the centipede. The weapon pieces the centipede's tail, pinning it to the ground and stopping the insect's ascent from reaching Chalcedony. Its range of movement has now become a lot more limited.]
[Chalcedony doesn't hesitate to use a follow up attack. He's still cautious and doesn't want to get too close to it if necessary. His Phobia of bugs is very strong. That's why Chalcedony strikes it with a blast of holy light. The Crystal Knights have a strong affinity towards light and the Valentine god. ]
[The centipede lets out a horrifying screech and falls to the ground from Chalcedony's attack, lying motionless for a moment.]

[And then suddenly, the body lets out a final spasm, jerking violently around. This causes Kor to leap back in shock. But finally, the beast falls still, eventually dissolving into nothingness.]
[ Chalcedony runs over to heal any other injuries they might have sustained during their last fight. He knows that Kor can manage in a battle but this is just to be safe. ]
